Our Story
We prioritize equipping students with necessary tools to thrive in an ever-evolving world. Our curriculum integrates technology and practical applications to better serve our community. Students are encouraged to recognize and address modern-day challenges, fostering collaborative relationships with staff using technology to achieve common goals. At our institution, we believe in using technology as a tool to encourage student growth. Our teachers empower students to take ownership of their learning by creating their own projects and exploring their areas of interest. We offer personalized classes in a variety of subjects, such as agriculture, business, interior design, marketing, sports marketing, band, art, chorus, cooking, hospitality, counseling, child development, nursing, computer science, and more. Although we offer these courses as standalone classes, we also integrate relevant content throughout other courses. This allows us to provide a well-rounded education that caters to our students' unique interests and passions.
Imagine
At our school, students are empowered to shape their learning journey with abundant decision-making opportunities. They enjoy the freedom to select career-oriented classes that align with their goals. Additionally, within each course, students are given choices for assignments, often facilitated through choice boards. Our student government association provides a platform for students to express their ideas, concerns, and suggestions for enhancing school facilities and programs. Moreover, many of our students expand their horizons by enrolling in online classes offered by the community college, NC Virtual Public Schools, or the School of Science and Math, fostering their intellectual growth.
Impact
Our school's achievements extend beyond the local community. Our dedicated staff has shared their expertise at state conferences, while our talented students have actively participated in prestigious State and National FFA, FCCLA, and DECA conferences. Notably, our students have showcased their programming projects at the esteemed AIM conference in Raleigh, NC. Additionally, one of our classes has launched a business podcast, inspiring other students to follow suit. Recognizing excellence, our top students are featured on local news channels, showcasing their exceptional abilities.
